It seems that there is a lack of interest in this thread since I last posted.
Well, just an update on my 2 days of enjoyed driving over the weekend from Johore to KL. Distance travelled was 617 km on 51.4 litres of Shell RON 95, RM 92.52( RM1.80 per litre in Msia).This worked out to be about 15 sen per km. The journey covered trunk road, traffic jams, highway (NSH) and KL city through rain and sunshine. With the THING installed, I did not use the shifttronic mode at all since last Monday. Pick up was good especially on traffic light junctions and overtaking. Brisk and smooth pick up.
I summarized the journey with details as follows:
Odometer Trip meter Fuel tank Fuel consumption RPM reading Speed
4790 21.9 Full (all most) - idle -
5386 617.6 1/8 (before fill up) 7.1 l/100km “ -
5386 617.6 Full 51.4 l “ -
5214 - 3/4 6.8 l/100km 3000 120 kph
5260 - 3/4 6.7l/100km 2100+ 90kph
5386 617.6 Petrol bill at RM 72.52 + RM 20 top up in between. 51.4 litres
It is computed as 15 sen per km or 8.3l/100km. I am quite satisfied with the fuel consumption in the driving conditions I encountered.
As some may ask for proof of what I wrote, I attached the snap shots using camera phone.
It is up to you to interprete as I did not take photos before the THING installed. Maybe, some may want to post some pictures at the similar speed, fuel level and see what sort of RPM and consumption figures. Like and like comparision as no one has the THING in their Forte as mine is the 1st .Sorry, cant upload pictures. You can email to] myforte28@yahoo.com if you are interested to see.

Good news to those going for the TT 13 June, my friend has confirmed that he will be there to share with you the thing he installs. Bad news is that I cant show you my Forte as I have family commitment but I will attend with my Naza Ria maybe 1 hour till 11 am as I have wedding lunch to attend.

My friend is willing to fix any Forte for a trial, if not satisfied, he will dismantle and no charge. But I am sure, that owner will be happy with that thing. I will talk to him for a special price for the 2nd Forte owner as I am the 1st with that thing.

BTW I will attached a photo of that thing and the diagram for its installation.

Hi to all those who were there that I met and those reading my post, I delivered what I posted. They saw and witnessed the RPM test done on my 7 yr old Naza Ria. Also some witnessed the installation of the thing to the 2nd Forte (Rool) and brief test drive around the Petronas station. Response is positive on the pick-up as it's light on the pedal.

Hopefully, those who test drive post some comments and the owner himself comments on the thing. I will wait for their comments.

Hope you guys had a wonderful get-together.

FC varies for different owners as the style of driving, road conditions, traffic situations etc...... I record the petrol pumped full tank and RM and reset odometer to zero. Next fill up at near Empty, record down the KM travelled and RM then reset to zero. I use Shell 95 and castrol magnatec for 5K interva servicel. Before I installed, averaged about 19.7 sen per km .After installation, averaged about 16.2 sen per km. It is about 17% in fuel saving. It maybe due to more mileage run on engine. I dont speed more than 120 kmh on highway. I like to press hard on pick up from traffic lights and starting.

So I am able to have some saving on FC besides having better pick up. This is what my post said all along.

Hopefully, the 2nd Forte owner can comment after one month's use for comparision purposes.

Well, it has been one month since last TT in KL. There are a lot of viewers on my post by no one commented since especially on pick up. I presumed all are happy with the pick up. I just wonder how the 2nd Forte owner with the Thing installed views his car performance. Satisfied or not satisfied, good or bad ?????????????

My friend has installed a number of car since then.

I don't get what you want. I can't post photos on performance. It is how you feel about the performance on pick up. You can do a simple RPM test by putting gear at N or P, then you press your accelerator. How much you need to press to reach 6000 RPM. Mine can reach easily. There are a few witnesses on 13-6-10 TT on installation and testing.

This afternoon, my friend went down to JB and installs the thing to 2 believers who read my post. One is a Forte Koup from Singapore and the other a Forte from JB .They are happy with the performance. I will ask them to post their comments to share the good thing for all Fortes owners who read this thread.
