Dear Mr Arul,

Here are another 2 problems that i have just recently encountered.
1. The engine sound seems to be louder (a bit strange) than usual at cold start especially driving early morning when the car first started (and after the car switched off for sometime).
2. Secondly, the aircond is also producing intermittent "tiak tiak tiak" sound when it's switched on and this will usually lasts for around 30 seconds.
Pls kindly advise. Appreciate your help so much! Thanks!

1. The noise during COLD start is considered normal especially if your engine is smooth when the engine is HOT. But however you could get it check by any SC just to confirm.

2. The noise you described when the aircon is switched on, is the noise of the blower door adjusting to its position as per the temp setting in your car. Normally if your temp setting is more then 21 deg then the aircools mixes normal and cold air to adjust the temperature. The mixing of air is control by a door in the blower which is actuated by the step motor. The noise is the operating noise of the step motor. Try to switch on the aircon with temp setting below 20deg you will not get the noise. This is consider normal operating noise as per design and specification. Hi Mr.Arul. I actually wanted to bring my car to you this few days. But the "gla gla gla" sound on my ride is not found this few days. It is always like this. Sometimes occur continuoulsly, sometimes not. It is a kind of "moody' sound.

I actually found a way to temporarily stop the sound. Once the sound occurs, if premitted, I will get down from the car, off the engine a while. Then the sound will disasppear after I redrive, until it occur again.

One of the bro here, has ask a SC to replace the AC compressor for his car for this sound. He say he will update once replacement done.

went to NKSC @ Selayang yesterday and really worth travelling all the way there....warm welcome by Mr Arul the service manager...my problem with rattling sound, alignment and suspension all fixed and my ride now nicer than before...he is also very helpful and resourceful.....highly recommended to all other members

Hi Mr Arul

My car is one of the FORTE that having the persistant gla gla sound from the engine at low speed below 40kmh.

- tried turned off air-con, the gla gla sound persist.

- going slow up hill at constant low speed around 20-30 kmh also can hear it.

- i noticed once riding around 80kmh steadily, another sound like 'gling gling' sound appear like light type of metal knocking sound, this sound on n off appear depending on the acceleration, but not very obvious to capture it.


Not sure so far any FORTE go to your SC complaint this sound ?

Mine exactly like all your description fattzeai. Bros' car also have the same "bros problem" I guess.

Like Mr.Arul said, we need to send to him for test drive and experience the sound. May be if u cannot find out the problem from Chan Sow Lin SC, u need to send to Selayang for Mr. Arul. I also wanted to sent to Mr.Arul for checking already.

Make a day you sent it and let me know how is it ... if the Selayang SC [Mr.Arul] can fix it, I will take off day to go there and fix it ...

Dear Mr, Arul,

I am having the same exact problem with my ride.The sc has been unable to detect the problem. I have changed to Fully Synthetic Engine Oil, bt the problem still persist.

By the way, i believe that my ac compressor will be changed under warranty, and the part is still unavailable. I am not sure why they are changing the compressor.

Did the SC said need to change the AC compressor? One bro here with the same problem also waiting to change the AC compressor from SC. It is definately not the oil problem as I have gone thru all the process, still could not find the problem.
