I bought the power Amp electronics hobby set from HK thru a fren of mine .... from there i got to know about electronics ... but more to technical instead theory as I din study it .... aiii Form 2 only that time .. but good learning to start with electronics kits ....

U r right ... i like experimenting ... hahaha ... bcoz when I was kid [below age 10, memang tangan banyak gatal... ], I had spoiled some home electric appliances bcoz I suka buka tengok apa ada dalam, ie. Tv , radio, ....apa saja ... tapi after that, tak tau pasang balik ... hahahah

So after that bad experience ... i started to learn how to remove things and also must know how to fix it back nicely ...

by any chance u comin to pg? i also wan c the goodies u install in ur car lar..
u got mod ur forte audio boh? i was tinkin of bringing over my old amp & sub to the forte but SC strongly advice against it cos will kacau wiring n warranty..

Shogun,

u know lar ... biasanya kanak kanak tangan banyak ... kalau tak gatal susah nak self-learning ....

I don't mod my audio, jus add-on 1 power Amp and 1 woofer + 2 twitters [on rear dash board] so that the sound can spread equally to the whole car bcoz Forte rear speakers built ar the side door instead on rear dash board.

you don't need to kacau a lot wiring. Just extract both [L & R] rear audio cable and connect to your power Amp will do. And, buy a thick type of wire for better power for your Amp which connect directly to battery. If you wanted to reduce your power Amp eating your car power, then add a power booster to stabilized the power current [which I DIY myself].

While audio Amp output connect with a thick cable to your woofer at the boot. That's all ... but just ensure you don't short circuit will be safe.
ofcoz warranty will void if you damage your audio system by installing external device lor ...

So, if you want DIY or ask shop do for you, ensure thing done properly, and, if no damages and thing work fine, with or without warranty, it makes no different right ? bcoz no damage ofcoz you are not claiming mah ... but if you wan install regardless of DIY or shop install for you, ofcoz at own risk lor ...

well, 1 Amp for 1 woofer shld not be a lot wiring, it is simple.

btw, I wanna buy the mud-guard, i know the source from PNG, I looking for someone who happen to come down to KL and send it to me by hand, so can meet up yam cha.

Will you come to KL soon ?

i was supposed to head down to kl 2 weeks ago wif my parents but something popped up so din go..
yup, i bought the mud guards from sugen..reali nice guy..
so far no plans to go kl yet bro sorry k, if not i sure buy n pass to u 1..

bro, u give me hope that i got a chance to install my sub + woofer in my forte..
i tot totally no chance d since both my SA & SC insisted that by doin so will void my warranty..

how did u install ur 2 twitters on ur rear dash board? extract audio signals from ur rear door speakers also?
i also got 2 tweeters that i also wish to carry forward to the forte as well..
how's the feedback from ur rear passengers before n after installin ur tweeters at the rear? got difference?

when u mentioned bout the power booster to stabilized the power current, is it a car voltage regulator that u r referring too? (i have 1 installed in my current car attached to the car battery)

correct me if i'm wrong; the idea is to tap power from car battery -> amp -> woofer
audio signals from rear speakers -> amp -> woofer
correct ar bro? den how did u manage all this wiring work? is the wiring work visible?
do i need to worry bout the impedance, watt etc?

if the 2 of us same location..i sure drive come find u d for yum cha n checkout the goodies that u've done..
mayb even hire u (if possible hehe ) to do the wiring work n installation work since u have experience in porting over ur audio setup over to the forte..but sigh..

installation :-

Power :
battery > Amp wit fuse 15A-30A depending on your Amp power [optional with switch on/off, connection defaulted to on when engine started]
[if your Amp is high power, u need add power booster/stabilizer, else your battery not enuf supply immediate current to Amp , which will affect your lightning and other car devices sucking power same time]

Audio :
Amp > woofer / speakers [if Amp is 4 ohm, speakers also 4 ohms is ideal]
[note : if noise heard from speakers when car accelerate, u need add a device to cut the interference selling around RM20-35, by right if clean power connected to Amp, shld be no interference]
Audio input from rear speaker wiring extraction.

Amp placing : [is your choice]
- under car seat [shorter wiring needed esp. power supply !]
- boot [if install at boot, a lot wiring need go thru the boot & longer wiring needed]

Wiring :
- if visible type > use casing to cover
- if invisible type > then u need remove your front both seats and hide under carpet.

Prob : 1
If your Amp is high power and woofer is huge, your boot will be shaking and u feel irritating each time the bass comes ... bcoz same time u heard boot shaking sound. you need to add foams in the boot to absorb the air impact from woofer to the boot if u like to turn on high vol always.

Prob 2 :
make sure your wire is thick enuf to deliver the enuf current to the Amp, else your bass heard will piss u off which can easily heard lacking of power.
I dont use a high power Amp. My Amp just 100W each side [transistor], if IC one, then shld at least 500W for a better bass.
My woofer is JVC 400W. As my Amp is bridgeable, so the output is 200W. Sound under power of the Amp? haha ... well, in the car you don't need so high Amp power, else whole car runtuh lar ...
i use higher power woofer bcoz the Amp wont over power and damage the woofer.

Solution :
up to yourself what you preferred ... LOL.

haha ... I don't have a workshop ... so cannot do it for you la ... some more it takes time.
I did the whole system not in 1 day bro ... i did it when i free during weekends as hobby ...
